For our head office in Anderlecht, we are looking for a:
Junior R&D Fermentation Engineer
Function
Your mission will be specifically dedicated to two flagship projects:
- Development of molecules of interest with high potential.
- Innovation for safe and natural food applications.
As part of your role, you will also be required to:
Innovate and develop: Design, optimize, and test fermentation processes on different strains, with the aim of transforming your laboratory ideas into effective industrial solutions.
Manage trials: Plan, carry out, and analyze your experiments, monitor key parameters, and make recommendations to improve yield, quality, and reproducibility.
Communicate and share: Write clear reports, present your results to internal teams and customers, and contribute to the preparation and monitoring of subsidized projects.
Monitoring and compliance: Keep up with trends in fermentation and bioprocesses, integrate relevant innovations, and ensure process safety and compliance.
Contribute to lab life: Keep the lab organized and safe, participate in continuous improvement, and foster a collaborative and pleasant work environment.
Profile
- You have a degree in biotechnology, biochemistry, microbiology, biological engineering, or equivalent.
- Significant experience in fermentation, ideally in R&D, is highly desirable.
Key skills:
- Proficiency in fermentation processes and experimental data analysis.
- Ability to solve technical problems, optimize processes, and collaborate with production.
- Excellent communication and ability to present clear results to internal teams and customers.
Personal qualities: Scientific curiosity, analytical mind, autonomy, and a taste for collaborative work.
Additional asset: Experience with innovative food, cosmetic, or biotechnology projects.
