Technicien de Recherche – Fermentations (m/f)

Function

You will assist the R&D Fermentation Manager in setting up, executing and reporting experiments. You will help train and supervise students on internships. You will actively participate in the exemplary maintenance of laboratories, the supply of equipment and consumables, and the implementation and application of procedures

Votre mission :

• You will assist the team members in their experience work.
• You prepare the equipment, the culture media.
• You will assist in the follow-up of ongoing experiments by taking samples followed by appropriate analyses and by writing clear and structured reports.
• You will manage the documentation and preparation of reports related to the experiments carried out.

• You comply with rigorous methodological processes.
• You are responsible for the proper organization of the laboratories and the management of the laundry.
• You actively participate in continuous improvement, propose improvements to streamline the operation/production/quality of the team's work within the laboratory.
• You will implement and comply with established procedures and health and safety standards.
• At the planning level, you take into account and respect the deadlines set, you make forecasts, define priorities and set short-, medium- or long-term goals.

Profile

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Cell Culture, Biochemistry, Fermentation, Biotechnology or equivalent scientific discipline.
• Experience of 2 years or more in an environment where bacterial culture is a plus. Experience in using an HPLC is appreciated.
• You have a good command of Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
• You have a great concern for the quality of the work and the precision of the manipulations.
• You know how to spot potential problems.
• You combined resourcefulness, rigor and initiative.
• You are flexible.
• You are able to get involved in missions, to work voluntarily.
• You are willing and eager to learn. You are able to deal effectively with problems and difficulties encountered.
• You are able to multitask.
• You are a good communicator and have good interpersonal skills.
• You have a good resistance to stress.
• You can work independently and enjoy working in a team.
• Your function is mainly carried out in our laboratories in Anderlecht.
• However, you agree to carry out missions on our industrial site in Escanaffles.

Language

• You have a good knowledge of French and technical English.
